AI Implementation Terms

Version 1.0. Last Updated: 7 November 2026.

1. These Terms

These AI Implementation Terms ("Program Terms") govern the AI Implementation engagement (the "Engagement") that Redwood Meridian LLC, doing business as My Legal Academy ("MLA", "we" or "us"), provides to the law firm that enrolls (the "Firm" or "you").

The agreement for the Engagement consists of these Program Terms, the MLA Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Data Protection Addendum and AI Use Policy, and the plan and price shown at checkout and on the payment receipt (together, the "Order"). These Program Terms are a Service Agreement under section 6.1 of the Terms of Service. Where they differ from the Terms of Service, or from the MLA AI Labs terms for any membership included with the Engagement, these Program Terms control for the Engagement.

Descriptions of the Engagement outside these Program Terms, including on MLA's website, in proposals and in sales conversations, are illustrative. They do not form part of the Order, and the Firm does not rely on them in enrolling.

2. Enrollment

The Firm enrolls by ticking the acceptance box and completing payment at checkout. The person who enrolls confirms that they are authorized to bind the Firm.

MLA may record the date and time, IP address, e-mail address and the version of each document accepted, and may send the Firm an e-mail confirmation listing them. The Firm's acceptance does not depend on any confirmation.

3. Scope

In each month of the Engagement MLA provides:

  • one working session a week of up to sixty (60) minutes, by video, at a time MLA schedules with the Firm; and
  • up to eight (8) hours of build time, in which MLA designs, builds, tests and configures AI tools for the Firm, such as agents, skills, prompts, automations and integrations with the Firm's software.

MLA and the Firm agree the priorities for the build time in the working sessions. The sessions and build time may be used to review the Firm's workflows, to build and to train the Firm's team. Session time and build hours not used in a month do not carry over. A session the Firm misses or cancels is not rescheduled unless MLA agrees.

Work beyond this scope is quoted separately in writing and starts only after the Firm accepts the quote.

Where the checkout page lists a membership or credits included with the Engagement, such as MLA AI Labs, they are provided while the Engagement is active.

4. What the Firm Does

The Firm:

  • names a point of contact who attends the working sessions and answers MLA within two business days;
  • gives MLA timely access to the accounts, systems and materials MLA requests;
  • holds and pays for its own subscriptions to AI models and other software the tools run on, including any usage-based charges;
  • has a lawyer review and supervise the output of every AI tool before it is used in client work, and decides how the tools are used in its practice;
  • remains responsible for complying with the professional conduct and confidentiality rules that apply to its practice.

While MLA is waiting on the Firm for any of these, the timing of the affected work moves by the same period. MLA is not responsible for work that is delayed or not performed because the Firm did not do these things, and the fees remain payable.

The Firm indemnifies and defends MLA against claims arising from the Firm's use of the tools in its practice and from messages sent in the Firm's name with its approval.

5. Fees and Billing

The fee is $3,000 a month. The first charge is made at enrollment and each later charge on the same day of each following month, to the payment method on file.

Software subscriptions, model usage and other third-party costs are not part of the fee and are paid by the Firm.

If a charge fails, MLA notifies the Firm and retries it. MLA may pause the Engagement while any amount is more than fourteen (14) days overdue, and may end it if it remains unpaid.

6. Term, Minimum and Cancellation

The Engagement has a minimum term of three (3) months from enrollment (the "Minimum Term"). After the Minimum Term it continues month to month.

The Firm commits to the fees for the full Minimum Term and authorizes MLA to charge them on their scheduled dates. If the Engagement ends during the Minimum Term because of the Firm's cancellation, non-payment or breach, the fees for the rest of the Minimum Term remain payable.

To cancel, either party gives written notice, the Firm by e-mail to info@mylegalacademy.com. Notice received at least thirty (30) days before a billing date takes effect at the end of the paid period before that billing date, and not before the end of the Minimum Term.

MLA may end the Engagement on thirty (30) days' written notice after the Minimum Term has ended, or at any time under the Terms of Service.

7. Results

MLA does not promise any particular result, time saving or business outcome. AI tools can produce inaccurate output, which is why the Firm reviews it before use.

8. Ownership and Use

The Firm owns its data and the accounts registered in its name. MLA installs what it builds for the Firm in accounts the Firm controls, and the Firm may use, change and keep using it in its own practice during the Engagement and after it ends.

MLA keeps ownership of its pre-existing and general materials, templates, methods and know-how, and may reuse general techniques in other work. MLA handles Firm data as the Data Protection Addendum and the AI Use Policy describe.

9. Confidentiality and Data

Each party keeps the other's non-public business information confidential and uses it only for the Engagement. MLA handles information about the Firm's clients and leads as the Data Protection Addendum and the AI Use Policy describe.

10. Changes to These Terms

MLA may update these Program Terms by posting a new version on this page with a new date and notifying enrolled Firms by e-mail. The version a Firm accepted governs until its next billing date at least thirty (30) days after that notice. A change to the fee, the Minimum Term or the scope applies to an enrolled Firm only after its Minimum Term has ended.

11. Everything Else

Warranties, limitation of liability, indemnification, dispute resolution, arbitration, the class action waiver, cessation of services and every other matter these Program Terms do not address are governed by the Terms of Service.
